The PanAfGeo+ Country Window in South Africa supports the strengthening of collaboration and knowledge exchange through identified research topics related to critical raw materials, decarbonization and data management/intelligence within the geoscience sector. It contributes to enhancing partnerships between African and European institutions and fostering innovation in geoscientific practices.
Activities include participation in training, expert networks, and knowledge-sharing initiatives. These actions support the exchange of expertise, promote best practices, and strengthen institutional cooperation across regions.
By reinforcing technical capacity and collaboration, the programme contributes to improving the management and use of geoscientific data and supports sustainable development objectives linked to geological resources.
