The PanAfGeo+ Country Window in Uganda supports the promotion of Uganda’s mineral endowment, focusing on deposits at an advanced stage, for further potential development in accordance with national, African, and global standards regarding environmental social, governance and technical aspects.
Activities include data collection by facilitating and undertaking the evaluation of Uganda’s critical and other mineral deposits, as well as exploration where needed. These actions enhance both the technical capacity and visibility of Directorate of Geological Survey and Mines (DGSM) which operates within the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development of Uganda.
The programme contributes to strengthening the exploration and other capacities of the DGSM’s Geological Survey Department and to promoting evaluated critical and other mineral prospects to attract investment.
