The Geohazards and environmental management of mines training session (in English) occurred in Blantyre, Malawi from 6 – 12 November 2022. The training had 26 participants from several African Countries. Additionally, the training session included 2 days of field exercises.
The training session kicked off on 7th November 2022, with a welcome speech from Joseph Mkandawire, the Principal Secretary in Malawi’s Ministry of Mining, and Mr Burnnet Msika, Director and Commissioner of Mines.
