Africa-Europe D4D Hub Multi-Stakeholder Forum

18 March 2022 @ 9h00 - 17h00

The Africa-Europe D4D Hub Multi-Stakeholder Forum is taking place one month after the EU-AU Summit, Africa-Europe Week, and the EU-Africa Business Forum, key events for the AU-EU partnership where digital cooperation took a central role in the agenda.

Africa and Europe are important partners in the digital sector and share the ambition of leveraging digitalisation for inclusive and sustainable development. With the aim of advancing the partnership between African and European digital actors, the AU-EU Digital for Development (D4D) Hub project is facilitating the first Africa-Europe D4D Hub Multi-Stakeholder Forum. Co-hosted by the African Union and the European Union, the event will take place online on 18 March 2022.

The forum’s objective is to make sure that all stakeholders (private sector, governments, academia, and civil society) contribute to joint AU-EU efforts to build an inclusive digital economy and society that leaves no one behind. It will also be an opportunity for the African Union Commission and the European Commission to give an update on the status of the implementation of digital initiatives and programmes.
